The Story of Bernie’s Social Bar
Founded in 2018 by Brett and Laura Olszeski, Bernie’s Social Bar is a family-owned gem that reflects over 22 years of dedication to the Kennesaw community and beyond. Building on the trust and reputation they started cultivating in 2003 with their first restaurant, Trackside Grill, the Olszeski family decided it was time to introduce something fresh and exciting—Bernie’s Social Bar! This elevated yet local dining destination brings the charm and sophistication of a big-city restaurant right to the heart of Historic Downtown Kennesaw.
At Bernie’s, we’re all about storytelling—through our food, drinks, and dining experience. We pride ourselves on blending rich culinary traditions with creative spins on dishes and beverages, while still honoring the classics that have stood the test of time.
the family behind it all
While the Olszeski family planted their roots with Trackside, those roots continue to flourish at Bernie’s Social Bar. Deeply connected to Kennesaw, the family’s commitment to the community shines through every day. Running a restaurant is tough, but being a "restaurant family" takes that challenge to a whole new level.
Brandon, Brett and Laura’s son, who once played in these very spaces as a child, now leads the kitchen as chef, engaging with guests daily. His younger sister Zoie brings her flair to the bar, managing day-to-day operations and crafting seasonal cocktails, as well as pairing local beers and wines. Brett and Laura’s legacy isn’t just about serving meals; it’s about shaping lives, nurturing both their staff and the community.
Bernie’s isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a family, built on a timeless vision Brett and Laura began over two decades ago. Through the highs and lows, that vision has only grown stronger.
